Abstract

HIV infection in pregnant women is a significant problem in global health because it has serious impacts for maternal and infant health. Pregnant women who are infected with HIV are at high risk of experiencing mother to child transmission from mother to baby, vertical transmission can occur during pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding. Sectio Caesarea helps minimize fetal exposure to maternal blood due to rupture of the placental membrane and maternal secretions when the fetus passes through the birth canal fetal and maternal blood are separated by many layers of cells in the placenta, so that protecting the fetus from HIV infection. Non – pharmacological management of acute pain is the finger grip relaxation technique. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the finger grip relaxation technique in post section – caesarea patients in the Adas Manis room, Pandan Arang Hospital, Boyolali. Nursing diagnoses for patients include acute pain, risk of infection, impaired physical mobility and knowledge deficit. The author applied non-pharmacological nursing care and observed and described the response to providing finger gasp relaxation techniques to patient post SC with HIV indications for 3 days, The results obtained showed a reduction in pain before and after the finger gasp relaxation technique was carried out to reduce pain. The conclusion in this case is that after implementing it for 3 days, in the evaluation process there was a decrease in pain in patients with an initial pain scale of 6 to 3. The results obtained were that there was an effectiveness of using the finger grip relaxation technique on reducing pain in post SC patient
