Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a heart condition characterised by the presence of atherosclerotic plaque in the coronary arteries, which can be symptomatic or asymptomatic. CHD is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. One approach to overcoming blood vessel narrowing due to plaque buildup is through Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). Many CHD patients who undergo this procedure are reported to experience anxiety. This anxiety can cause a decline in cardiovascular condition and lead to delays in PCI procedures. One non-pharmacological method to reduce anxiety is through prayer therapy. This study aims to determine the effect of prayer on anxiety levels in patients undergoing cardiac catheterisation at the Klaten Islamic General Hospital. This study uses a quasi-experimental design.
